As a retreat from the city, the client/artist was seeking to transform this shaker style barn into a studio for his many interests. He was attracted to the graceful roof structure and huge volume it created, open for a multitude of uses. The lower level is also a studio but equipped for all weather conditions for year-round uses. Christopher ensured that the renovation was sensitive to the vernacular while modernizing the structure for todays new functions.
